Honda CM400 Diesel Bike
Not the rattiest of rats, but a rat. The bike started as a 1980 Honda CM400A, the engine is Sterling 406cc air cooled diesel. The drive is custom built using Comet 40 series pulley, we made the shafts and drive housing. The lower frame we had to build as the Honda was a backbone style frame. No paint on the frame and wire ties everywhere.
Honda Motor Cycle Diesel Engine
Runs good and people behind me hate it when I give 'em ''the cloud'' - roll the throttle and she belches a nice black cloud. At least it smells like Chinese food, 'cause it's running opn soybean oil. It's lots of fun and easy in town 'cause its an automatic. Parts are from Honda, Harley, Comet, Kawasaki, Scooters, and even an industrial vacuum! If not a rat then definitely a mutt - that's what we call it.
Hope you like it, I do, I ride it everywhere!
Ben
